Good news?

It was a boy, and it was trisomy 16, the most common form of genetic defect. I was ready to say that I have a hostile womb and just can't carry a baby. Still can't rule that out, but at least that wasn't the cause this time.

Three doctors at two practices believe this is just incredibly crappy luck. If there is a different cause each time, it's easier to believe it.

I'm glad that you found out what the cause was. I always used to say I "sucked at being pregnant", but this time my body got it right. Yours will happen soon too. I'm sorry for the loss of your son.

sad, but yes, good to know why. I am hoping your next try is the one that sticks!

i agree that having something particular to blame is a great way to keep your sanity... you know for sure that it's not your fault... it was just that crappy DNA roulette... ::hugs::

At least you have something tangible this time to say, "It just wasnt the right moment..."

It is sad what you had to go through, but hope knowing will help to conceive a baby next time. It's such an emotional roller coaster... I'm praying for you that it will work very very soon. :-)

All I can say at this point is I really really hope next time is your time.
